Stow-Munroe Falls High School Junior Ian Holt will defend his Division I State Golf Championship in Columbus on Oct. 19 and 20.

Ian advanced to the state tournament by placing second at the Pine Hills District Tournament on Oct. 10 shooting a 76 on the par 72 course.

Ian was co- medalist at the 2011 Division I State Golf Championships.

He will be making his third consecutive appearance in the State Golf Championships. In 2010 and 2011 he competed as the entire SMFHS team qualified.

This year he will competing as an individual as the team failed to qualify for the first time since 2008. Best of luck to Ian!
