LOOK: Stow-Glen Retirement Village Annual Car Show
On Sunday October 21st, Stow Glen Retirement Village held its 12th Annual Car Show bringing street cruisers and fancy classics from near and far. The day was filled with perfect weather, food, games, door prizes and contests. Music and announcing was provided by locally known DJ and entertainer Aloha Phil. Nearly seventy cars participated with fifteen of them returning home as trophy winners. “An old guy like me enjoys looking at all the old cars. It brings back good memories.” said Ralph Painter, one of Stow-Glen’s long term residents. Tammy Denton, CEO, claimed, “We always enjoy getting involved with the community and providing our residents with quality entertainment and activities. Our annual car show is one of our favorite events. This is just one way we bring the community to us.” The proceeds of this year’s car show are going to the Alzheimer’s and Diabetes Association.
