Stow Officer's Funeral Today, Procession Route Set

- Survived by: his wife of 23 years, Donna; children Justin, Evan and Jillian; mother Donna Bastock; brother David (Julie) Bastock and their son Noah; mother-in-law Marilyn Beteau.
Jonathan V. Bastock was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for the past 14 years. Officer Bastock served with the Stow Police Department for 13 years, where he was active in many departmental activities and was treasurer of the FOP. One of the most kind, caring, and fair individuals you could ever hope to meet, he is loved dearly by his wife and children; “The best dad in the world.”
Preceded in death by his daughter Lauren, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Donna; children Justin, Evan and Jillian; mother Donna Bastock; brother David (Julie) Bastock and their son Noah; mother-in-law Marilyn Beteau.
The calling hours for Bastock will be on Tuesday Feb. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd.
The funeral service will be at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd., the Rev. David Klein will conduct service Wednesday Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. with burial services to follow at Silver Springs Cemetery, 5080 Stow Rd.
The funeral procession will travel east on Kent Road from Holy Family Church to Darrow Road. It will then travel north on Darrow Road to Stow Road. The procession will then travel north on Stow Road to the cemetery.
Stow Road will be closed to through traffic between Call Road and Norton Road from approximately 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund established for the benefit of the children at any Key Bank.
