Stow resident and Walsh Jesuit High School junior, Vinny Musci went for gold and he got it! 

Vinny began his quest at the age of 8 and never stopped. On July 4, Vinny competed in the Taekwondo Nationals 2012, in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he took the Gold medal. 

During last year's competition, he suffered a broken foot seconds into the match. 

Vinny never gave up getting back into the ring. Vinny's parents, Harold and Nancy Musci have been his biggest cheerleaders throughout this long journey, taking him to countless practices, competitions and tournaments. 

Vinny trains at Asian Sun under Master Ryan Andrachik. With this win, Vinny will now be able to try out for the National AAU team in September.  

Who knows, maybe we have a future Olympian living right here in Wyoga Lake Estates.
