The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for the region, and predicts snow accumulation of around 1-3 inches tonight.
Wind gusts could get as fast as 29 mph today, reports the National Weather Service. The daytime snow accumulation is about 1 inch. Tonight's low is 7 degrees.
The snow is caused by an arctic airmass that is moving into the area.
Its cold air combined with the low pressure across the Great Lakes will allow for the possibility of persistent lake effect snow across Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania.
Tuesday's high is 12 degrees with a 50 percent chance of blowing snow. Winds will be blowing between 16 and 18 mph.
If you take any photos of the snow, be sure to share them with Patch here.
