2012 Leaf Pick Up Service Extended

Be sure to take note of the new dates for each district in Stow.

The leaf pick up program has been extended in the city because of weather conditions the last few weeks

Here's the schedule for the second round of pick up in each district:

  • District 1: Nov. 16-21
  • District 2: Nov. 26-30
  • District 3: Dec. 3-7

This revised leaf collection schedule is subject to change, should weather or other factors cause the program to take longer than expected.

Please see the attached .dpf for the revised schedule, a district map and procedures for the program and contact information.

I, and perhaps many others, would appreciate the areas and days to have the leaves collected. Is it possible?

Stow does a great job in all areas. I am so glad I decided to move here 14 years ago. I am a senior citizen (71 years old) and in "relatively" good physical condition to my age. But I truly appreciate the services that the city of Stow provides. Keep it up, please!! Absolutely love this community.

Cuyahoga Falls is WAYyyyy behind on their pick up schedule. They've shortened it due to budget problems in the city. My neighborhood's been raking leaves to the curb on time but by the time the crews get here, the leaves are all blown back into our yards and into the streets. We appreciate the effort but they need to be more REALISITIC with the ACTUAL schedule.

Now if only we could get them to rotate these districts. Every year those of us in district 1 are out practically shaking our trees to get them to the curb for our early collection. Do that to a different part of town next year and give us some breathing room.
