Here are this week's most bizarre police calls, reports and charges. All information was provided by police reports from departments in Patch communities. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Dastardly Dark Knight Detained for disorderly conduct- A 17-year-old male was arrested at the Beachwood Place Mall and charged with disorderly conduct after police said he ran through the mall wearing a Batman mask and a hood, "causing annoyance and alarm to shoppers."
He's not the hero they deserve or the one they needed.
Mmm ... Weed tastes good- A Twinsburg Township teen faces charges after he tried to hide marijuana from police by eating it, according to a police report.
On Jan. 6, a police officer tried to pull over a car for speeding. An officer approached the car to find the teen driver with marijuana all over his mouth and clothes.
The teen admitted to police that he didn't pull over right away because he was trying to eat the marijuana to hide it, according to the report.
Vandals leave letter to explain their crime- Service Department workers reported to Brecksville police Dec. 28 that a pair of speakers on Public Square had been damaged.
A report said the employees noticed about 10:30 a.m. that holiday music was no longer playing in the square.
Police found both speakers had been tilted off their brackets, and wires were pulled out.
Whoever did it left behind a note taped to a speaker: "The music is far too loud for the neighboring businesses and churches."
The culprit got only a few hours of quiet, though. The service department soon had the speakers repaired.
Mommy's boyfriend is a biter- A man reported that he was assaulted in a Shaker Heights parking lot when the mother of his children brought her boyfriend.
A fight ensued and he was hit in the face and bitten by the boyfriend. The mother and her boyfriend fled the scene before police arrived.
