Stow Dog Park at Silver Springs opened Friday for 2013

Today marked the official opening of Bow Wow Beach, Stow's dog park, for the 2013 season.
The park is open from 8 a.m. until dusk, daily, except for Thursdays. Bow Wow Beach is usually closed until 11 a.m Thursday for routine maintenance.
The chilly weather couldn't keep folks and their pups away from visiting for the first time since the park closed in the fall.
The park closed on Dec. 2, 2012 because conditions are hazardous in the winter months. Now, the lake has thawed and pups are encouraged to play in the park.
New at the dog park this year is a paved parking lot — it was finished in November.

Such a Lovely Park. We used to camp there when it was camping grounds.. When we were there last in the fall, some vandals had spray painted all over that wonderful children's play area... Really made my heart drop ):

Yay! The dogs can run off their pent-up energies. Thanks for paving the parking lot! September 15th is PAW FEST at Bow Wow Beach! More information will be posted!!
