Dipped and Dazzled Needs a Little More Time in the Oven Before Opening

The bakery has a new grand opening date, but the owners are taking orders now!

The Dipped and Dazzled gals were hoping to open Oct. 20, but just like when a toothpick doesn't come out clean when testing a cake in the oven ... the bakery itself needs a little more time before it's done.

The owners, Heather Rice and Tara Colopy, said the grand opening is scheduled for Oct. 27 (Saturday). (Halloween in Stow is the same day.)

Rice said the business has one employee hired and is looking to do a few more interviews still. But, "everything is coming together!"

The grand opening is planned for 9 a.m. next Saturday, but the bakery has already been taking orders online.

The women are putting the bakery into four categories:

  • Everyday: Traditional cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and brownies.
  • Today: "Whatever I feel like making that day," said Rice.
  • No ordinary day: A wedding cake pop bouquet, a special birthday cake ... items that need consultations.
  • Same day: "That's for women like us who need to go to their mother-in-law's tonight and didn't have time to bake anything. We'll whip up something fabulous to feed 20 people that same day."

"It is hard to believe after all this time and hard work, we are ready for you to come down and check out the goodies we have been showing you for the past several months!" Colopy wrote on the Dipped and Dazzled Facebook page. "If you need to place an order, you can call the bakery at 330-689-7002. Our cake artists will be busy at work testing our kitchen and learning our recipes all next week."

The girls aren't revealing pictures of the inside of the bakery just yet.

Patrons should expect to be dazzled by the decor in the store, though.

"We're going with a vintage elegant look: a pink, black, silver theme with crystal chandeliers," Colopy previously said

"Sparkly!" Rice said enthusiastically.

"Heather and I thank you for all of your undying support these past few months. We were in the kitchen this week reflecting that a phone call from me to Heather and a dinner meeting has turned into something so spectacular! We can't wait to see you," said Colopy.

If you've ever tasted Heather's treats you already know there isn't anything like it within 100 miles of Stow. And with their affordable pricing they are going to be the ONLY place people go to get scrumptious goodies. I can't wait! :) :)
