Expensive Bike Stolen from Top of a Car
The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
Unfortunately, bike thefts are common in the summer and normally don’t make the police blotter.
But, instead of a bike being stolen from a parking lot or in a park ... this bike was stolen off of a car.
On Aug. 23, a 20-year-old Leewood Road man told Stow Police someone stole his bike off the top of his car while he was parked at a home at the 3600 block of Leewood overnight.
The Motobecane bike, valued at $700, is yellow with blue tires.
Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor and is considered to be larceny.
