Stow: Ohio Boy's Death Sparks Nationwide Porch Light Vigil
When a young Stow resident lost his battle with cancer in June, the community was moved to start a vigil. People in Stow and across the country left their porch lights on for Gino Altieri, who was 10. Altieri, a big Star Wars fan, was described as feisty in the face of his cancer and “inspirational” in the article. http://patch.com/A-v30q Susan Deitrick

This fall, a fight between an RTA driver and passenger culminated in an uppercut punch to the female passenger—and it was all caught on video. Middle school students in Cuyahoga Falls staged a protest last spring to let school officials know they weren’t happy with how bullying incidents were being addressed. As the year ends, we're taking a look at some of the most-read local stories on Ohio’s Patch sites in 2012.
