K-9 Finds Drugs at High School

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

During a K-9 sweep at Stow-Munroe Falls High School Stow Police found marijuana in two different places and K2 Spice, a synthetic marijuana Dec. 9.

Student Ditches Marijuana in Trash Can

A 16-year-old female student ditched her marijuana in a garbage can near the assistant principal’s office during the sweep, according to the report.

A teacher called the assistant principal to let him know that the student had marijuana. When she was called to the office about it, she first said she gave the drugs to a male student when he left for school that day then later admitted she tossed it in the garbage can. Another assistant principal picked up the marijuana and gave it to police.

The case was referred to Stow Youth Services.

Marijuana, K2 Spice Found in Car

Also during the sweep, the K-9 located a car in the parking lot that had a foil marijuana pipe with residue in it and a pack of K2 Spice.

Abusing harmful intoxicants is a first-degree misdemeanor and drug paraphernalia is a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
