Kent City Employee Cited for Drug Abuse in Stow

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

A 28-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man changed his mind about having his car searched when the Stow K-9 officer showed up.

A Stow Police officer pulled over a Silver Elantra at the 2000 block of Graham Road Nov. 16 around 1:30 a.m. for weaving.

Police said the driver, a city of Kent water employee, initially refused a consent search of his car but said he changed his mind when the K-9 officer arrived.

The man told officers there was a marijuana pipe and marijuana (6 grams) in his back pack. Police said they also located a marijuana grinder.

The driver was cited for drug abuse, weaving and having drug paraphernalia — all minor-misdemeanor offenses. Officers said the man was also suspected of using drugs at the time.

The man was released at the scene and ordered to appear in Stow Municipal Court.

"The man was released at the scene and ordered to appear in Stow Municipal Court."

He was weaving and had drugs on him, yet was released at the scene? Safety first?

Pot and paraphernalia are minor misdemeanors in the State of Ohio. They do not create an arrest or criminal record. They are treated like a traffic ticket as long as they are small amounts and not packaged for sale. There is an automatic 6 month license suspension. I'm sure he wasn't under the influence at the time, or he wouldn't have been allowed to drive away.

This person's name is withheld because it's not a felony? The patch only releases names when there are felony charges? I call Bullfeathers. Scroll down a few stories to the one about the homeless man charged with a misdemeanor. His name is released. It seems that this "news" outlet has it's own motives

Degenerate potheads and their pathetic need to indulge in marijuana use. Just shameful.

And this has to do with this story how, again?
Oh, you're just another pathetic person attempting to make a pathetic slam at the police. Way to keep it real -- real dumb, derp.

Who cares who the person it is. And if it's THAT important to some of you whiners that you must know who it is, I strongly suggest you get a life.

And spare me the excuses (as they would be) as to why you must know who this person is.

Look at how desperate James is. You poor soul. Maybe we should have Stow PD come over to your house and taze you since you have such a woody over it right now.
