Local Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

Need a gift or place to dine for Valentine's Day? Check out what's close to you in Stow!

 

If you live in Stow, there’s no excuse for not picking up some kind of Valentine’s Day gift for the loved ones in your life. After all, the city is a retail mecca – and you’ve got some time still to execute a plan.

Stumped on where to start? The holiday is typically associated with heart-festooned greeting cards, roses, chocolates and jewelry ... so let’s start there.

Cards and chocolates

Valentine greeting cards and boxed chocolates can be found in just about any drug, grocery or discount store, but if you want the greatest selection, try Allen’s Card & Gift Shop on Graham Road or Hallmark Cards & Gifts.

Flowers

You could pick up flowers at the grocery store, but your loved one might appreciate a fresher bouquet or arrangement from A Flower a Day on Hudson Drive, Oregon Corners Florist on Graham Road, Seasons Floral & More on Norton Road or Stow-Kent The Towne Florist on Kent Road.

There's still time to order bouquets for delivery too! But, if you wait to the last minute, most prepare holiday-themed arrangements to keep on hand for last-minute shoppers.

Jewelry

While gifts of jewelry are offered in small departments within Kohl’s, Macy’s, Target and Wal-Mart, a wider variety of choices can be found at Hood & Hoover Jewelry and Abshire & Haylan Fine Jewelry, both on Graham Road, Stow Jewelers on Kent Road or Braidy Jewelers on Darrow Road.

Gift Certificates

Most every retailer mentioned here offers gift certificates for those who simply can’t make up their mind or would rather let their loved one choose the best gift.

Think outside the heart-shaped box and buy a gift certificate – or a tangible gift – at places such as hair salons, arts and crafts stores, fitness facilities, garden centers, health food stores and coffee shops.
