Kent State University's Homecoming Queen this year is a Stow-Munroe Falls High School alumni.

Ann Miller, a 2009 graduate, was crowned at the homecoming game Oct. 20, 2012. Miller is engaged to Cory Cottrill, a 2008 Stow-Munroe Falls graduate.

Miller is studying Integrated Social Studies at the university. She said she plans to becoming a high school social studies teacher or continue her education by getting a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration.

"My fondest KSU memory is working for Destination Kent State," she said. "I met some of my best friends and got to know and help so many new students and families. Making those connections were the best part. I will never forget those summers."
