"This is a patriotic display my friend and neighbor Chris Caetta put up in his yard to celebrate the Fourth of July. He decided to keep it up for the month of July due to the very positive feedback he has gotten from the many folks driving down Marsh Road (hence the name Marsh Road Patriot)," said Larry Kinnan, who added the pictures to the site. Nice job, Chris. The United States of America was indeed based on Judeo-Christian beliefs that many people can't accept. We need more people like you!

Thank You..actually I hope to get a movement going, wouldn't it be nice to have Christians of all faith with some type Christian sign visible from their property !
I have had ENUFF of Atheist crying about how offended they are. Political Correctness will be the Death of America is we don't stand together. If ya don't like it, don't look at it.. quite simple.

I have to comment, and I know the guy in the picture (he's my cousin's father-in-law and a good guy!) I was in their wedding!

I disagree with the signs, though. I do believe in integrity, like Chris does. But, if we want morals, then we should start being more humble, more honest, and more steadfast in our search for truth, even when we don't like what we find.

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Musselmen;..." - Treaty of Tripoli, 1796

"Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law." - Thomas Jefferson

"I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies." - Ben Franklin

"Take away from Genesis the belief that Moses was the author, on which only the strange believe that it is the word of God has stood, and there remains nothing of Genesis but an anonymous book of stories, fables, and traditionary or invented absurdities, or of downright lies." - Thomas Paine

"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma." - Abe Lincoln

Many of these guys still cited God (not Paine, he was Atheist). But it's their own God and their own relationship with him. Most of the Founding Fathers were Deists.

Were the Founding Fathers Christians?
It can be easily demonstrated that a very high percentage – in fact, the overwhelming majority – of Founding Fathers were Christians, but certainly not all of them were. Today, citizens are regularly told about the lesser religious Founders (such as Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Thomas Paine), but hear nothing about the prominent Christians among the Founders (for example, 29 of the 56 signers of the Declaration held what are today considered seminary or Bible school degrees, and many others of the signers were bold and outspoken in their personal Christian faith). Significantly, not one of the Founding Fathers was secular in his orientation; even Thomas Paine (certainly the least religious of the Founders) openly acknowledged God and announced his belief in his personal accountability to God, and he also directly advocated teaching creationism in the public school classroom (see “Thomas Paine Criticizes the Current Public School Science Curriculum”). Over 250 individuals are historically considered Founding Fathers (e.g., the signers of the Declaration, the signers of the Constitution, the framers of the Bill of Rights, leading state governors and generals in the Revolution, etc.), but typically critics list only the handful of the least religious from among the 250 to claim that all the Founders were deists or secular.

Hopefully no one tells the Unamerican Civil Liberties Union about this.... they'll probably try to sue him for daring to highlight moral values. God Bless You, Chris. You speak for many of the silent majority.

Thank You all for the positive comments, in fact America was founded on Judeo Christian beliefs, I suggest you go to WWW.Wallbuilders.com and look up The Founders as Christians, David Barton is the leading expert on America’s True History, Were there church meetings in the Capitol building? Definitely yes! The Capitol served as a prominent church building from 1800 until the latter part of the nineteenth century. Regular attendants at the church in the Capitol included presidents, congressmen, and local citizens. For details and more information on this interesting but today largely unknown aspect of our federal history, see “Church in the U.S. Capitol."
Our Education system has been brainwashing our youth for many years with their far left Liberal Agenda, history has been altered and Christianity is an open target. We all must stand no matter what faith you are; Christianity & Israel are under attack by the Obama régime.

I recommend my Soul to that Almighty Being who gave it, and my body I commit to the dust, relying upon the merits of Jesus Christ for a pardon of all my sins.

America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold:
its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life.
If we can undermine these three areas,
America will collapse from within.

Hmm...if I read this response right, then my presumption was correct. You're a hypocrite who does NOT practice what they preach. Since you're a Christian, you clearly believe what YOU (not you personally) believe should trump others because you're in the "majority." Hence your "we surround them" remark.

BZZT. Wrong. That's not how it works. And no one is taking away your religious freedom. That's the typical Sunday stupidity shoveled during service (again, because religion -- churches - think they have free reign to do whatever they want. They don't.) I don't want religion in public schools; it has no place. If I want my children exposed to that, then I will enroll them in a catholic school where they will get that as part of the 'mix.' As anyone else should.

You need to learn something called "respect." Don't brow-beat people with YOUR beliefs as if that's the way it should be, and any one else's are irrelevant. Take that crap to another country. You're certainly not "above" anyone else because you're a Christian and another person might not be.

And the ACLU is not 'dangerous." Just because they defend people you do not like does not mean they're dangerous. What's dangerous is people w/the "we surround them" mentality who appear to believe your way is the way it should be.

I. M. Wright,
That you had the absolute gall to think you could say this, "You need to learn something called "respect." Don't brow-beat people with YOUR beliefs" after all your posts mocking the intelligence, education and motivations of those who dare to not share your opinions is the height of Progressive Democratic Party HYPOCRISY and you need to do a little soul searching. If, that is, you acknowledge having a soul.

"we SURROUND THEM". Who do you surround ? Anyone who doesn't think as you ? Am I one of "them" because I don't fit in with the "vast majority" ? While I have great respect for your beliefs, it's that kind of thinking that makes the ACLU necessary in our "Great Country". Those of us who may not fit into your plan to "take back" whatever freedoms you think you've lost might have to rely on the ACLU to stand up for our rights as equal citizens of this "Great Country". I don't know if you are a "vast majority". But even if that's true, you never have the right to infringe on the lawful freedoms of any minority.

Mr. Ed Fisher,
If I am part of the "vast majority" do you have the right to infringe on the "lawful freedoms of any" MAJORITY?

The ACLU and Political Correctness is Destroying everything this Country was founded on, like "Atheist Group Wants WWI Memorial Cross Removed" , High Student Sues Over Prayer at Graduation or ACLU Will Sue If Cross Isn't Covered Up At High School Graduation. These types of stories can he found everyday. We surround them, fact is Christianity is under attack. You can't have a Christmas pageant anymore or say the Pledge of allegiance in school but our kids are taught it's O.K. to have two daddies.. The minority secular is forcing their agenda on the Majority of Christians, America is a Christian Nation, all are welcome and have the freedom to live any type of lifestyle they choose but our rights are being infringed upon when the ACLU and every P.C. offended person tries to impose their beliefs upon us.
Stow even had to remove a small cross from the City Seal, look at Fort Hood shootings,a single gunman killed 13 people and wounded 29 others all because of P.C. It never stops, wanna see our future, Look at Greece or Europe.

Bottom line, if ya like it.. That's cool.... support it.. if ya hate it..... that's cool too, ignore it & drive by.
Make you own sign, heck I really don't care what other choose to do on thier property. Its our yard and we love it.

Mr. Thomas: I would never infringe on your rights as a "majority" or otherwise. You certainly my be a part of any group that you like. But you or your "majority" may not force individuals who do not subscribe to your views to bend to your will. Prayer in schools? Absolutely not OK if it disenfranchises any child who is made to feel inferior to your teachings. Mr. Caetta: As I stated, your rights are respected and protected. Your sign is admirable. But when your religious beliefs get injected into any government funded or controlled enterprise, the line is crossed.

Mr. Fisher,
" But you or your "majority" may not force individuals who do not subscribe to your views to bend to your will." Your post says that YOU can, should, and would be irresponsible if you did not force the "majority" to do so. There must be a medium here somewhere.

Ed, Thanks for the compliment about my sign and I really don't want to get way off topic here but "prayer in school crosses the line" , I understand but 2 points, 1) a moment of silence hurts or offends no one, 2) personally I believe when you remove things like a moment of silence, the Pledge of Allegiance ect.ect. you see a definite increase in stories like these :
Parents Furious After School Teaches Graphic Sex Class or School Teaches 5th Graders How To Properly Practice Oral & Anal Sex, this stories are happening so often we are becoming immune, where is the outcry ?
I am 58 year old Geezer and I believe there was a much higher moral standard
"in my day sonny" personally I see a correlation. If we don't stop worrying about an offended student this latest statistic could become much worse :
The three-yearly OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) report, which compares the knowledge and skills of 15-year-olds in 70 countries around the world, ranked the United States 14th out of 34 OECD countries for reading skills, 17th for science and a below-average 25th for mathematics.

So much to do... so little time....have a good day
