Community Information Coordinator Linda Nahrstedt said about 3,000 people made it out for the annual Labor Day event at Silver Springs Park.
That figure was way off the expected 15,000-person crowd, but the rain is to blame for that.
Showers came down on and off during the event. But, the band — Jimmy Buffett cover band Gypsies in the Palace — still played and the fireworks still went off without a hitch.

Thanks to all involved and sponsoring the beautiful Fireworks display. We look forward to them each year and gather with our family to watch. They were beautiful. Thanks Stow!
