The Boy Scouts of America’s “perversion files” were released in October by order of the Oregon Supreme Court and it’s come to light that a Stow Boy Scout leader was accused of fondling troop members

This incident is one of thousands documented by the Boy Scouts of America from 1971 to 1991.

Suspicion of sexual abuse is a serious charge. Yet if this individual in Stow was never actually convicted, the editors went over the line in this story. And you could be responsible for damages in a civil court of law. Do you really think you made the right decision in publishing this story?

He was expelled by the BSA and his name was found in a database which is now public. Those are the facts that Patch reported. What part of that is over the line?

George, I am not sure what aspect is "over the line". It's Public, they are referencing how to search the Database.
