Look What's Moving Into the Former Liquor Store
Fire Water Fuel received a building permit from the city to move into the empty store on Kent Road.
The former liquor store at the 3200 block of Kent Road will be filled with a new business called Fire Water Fuel.
No, not the boozy kind of Firewater despite the building's former use as the Stow Beverage & State Liquor store. This company is trying to return to the source of regenerative energy thinking for a sustainable future, according to its website. Read more about what the company does here.
The 3,500-square-foot space near Pancho and Lefty's has been empty for just less than a year, according to Rob Kurtz, the city's planning director.
He said the zoning certificate for a change of occupancy was issued June 15 at 3274 Kent Rd. for a sales office for the Fire Water Fuel.
"I don't know the status of any building renovation," he said, adding the building is zoned for community retail.
