Man Threatens Woman with Gun, Steals Purse

Information provided by the Stow Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Dec. 20, a man approached a woman in the Walmart parking lot and told her he had a gun, according to a Stow police report.

The man stole the woman's purse and ran from the area, the report said.

Stow officers caught up with the man later. Police charged Vincent Pataky, 52, of Peninsula, with a felony count of robbery.

The article states that the man SAID he had a gun, not that he really did have one.

@Michael: Police did arrest the man. From above: "Police charged Vincent Pataky, 52, of Peninsula, with a felony count of robbery."

Matthew: by law if you are a convicted criminal you are not allowed to receive a concealed carry permit
