UPDATE: Attorney's Scheduling Conflict Tables Marhofer Request

The company's attorney said the request will be brought up again at another meeting.

Updated at 4:47 p.m.:

Marhofer's request for conditional zoning for redevelopment was indeed removed from tonight's agenda, but it will be back in front of the planning commission again soon.

The company's attorney on this matter, John Slagter, said in a voicemail that the request was made by him and not his client.

"Unfortunately because of my schedule, I ran into a conflict and it has taken up most of my day," he said. "I sent in the request for this to be continued. Again, this was requested by me, not my client. I will be presenting the request again."

A request for conditional use as part of Marhofer's redevelopment plan was removed Tuesday afternoon from the Oct. 9 planning commission agenda.

The request was made by John Slagter of Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs, LP, agent for the property owner, RLM Darrow, LLC. Slagter was not immediately available for comment.

"I do not have a specific reason to report at the moment," said Mayor Sara Drew when questioned about why the request was tabled.

Marhofer was pursuing the planning commission's approval of a text amendment to permit auto sales/rentals as a conditional use in a C-3 community retail district.
