Medina Man Under Fire for Facebook Post in Favor of CT Shooting (Poll)
According to WKYC, the man could face a $1,000 and 30 days in jail.

After the tragic school shooting in Newtown, CT, last week, a Medina man updated his Facebook status in favor of the gunman, according to WKYC.
Joseph Resovsky's status read, "I'm so happy somebody shot up all those little (expletive). Viva la School Shootings!!!!" WKYC reports. Resovsky is 20.
The man said he was trying to make a point, but that point could get him a $1,000 fine and 30 days in jail.

In another incident, 33-year-old Virginia man Christopher Johnson wrote "High Powered Rifle" on a wood plank and walked into Sandy Hook Elementary in Shenandoah County, VA, News Channel 5 reports.
The man was detained and no one was hurt, Channel 5 reports.

Both could be and were perceived as threats. Any time mass shootings happen, people want to know if there were signs that people ignored and anyone found to have ignored signs are scrutinized. Therefore I think it our duty to take comments and actions like those above seriously.

Patch TOS prohibits me from writing my true opinion of the dirtbag in Medina. It's a lousy thing to say, putting it lightly. But, because there was no threat in the comment, It's his right to express his distorted and tasteless view. He has broken no law by being a lowlife. Jail and fines are not appropriate for lack of taste or intelligence.
