As we move away from religious influences in our culture and towards a more media-influenced and secular society, we see the effect in the names we choose for our kids.
Gone are Mary, Ann, John, Thomas and Joseph-what my mother called "Biblical" names-from the most popular list.
I think it says somes something about our culture but will leave it to the readers to draw their own conclusions.

Really? Parents are no longer naming their kids Mary? or Ann? Or John? Or Thomas? Or Joseph?
Overreact much from an article? *rolleyes*

Based on the consistently nasty comments to Patch by Jack Kelly, I'm sure the name Jack has plummeted to #2,547 on the list. ;-)

Finn is nothing to be particularly proud of, but really, KATNISS? lol Further proof of just how laughably impressionable many people are, much like children.
