ODOT Widens Details for Graham Road Widening Project

Find out what information the Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking now.

The bulk of Monday’s Stow City Council meeting was devoted to the Graham Road widening plan, which has run into opposition from some property owners on Graham Road.

Most noticeably against the project is Krieger’s Health Food Market at Graham and Wyoga Lake Roads, near the Stow and Cuyahoga Falls city lines.

Stow Senior Engineer Brad Kosco said the Ohio Department of Transportation has requested new details for the widening project.

“This will be our second amendment to the original ordinance that was passed back in 2009,” Kosco said. “Specifically what ODOT is asking for is a alternative matrix be created ... and what that means is the consultant for the cities would put together a matrix or a presentation [explaining] why we’re widening on one particular side of the road versus another side.”
