Police Catch Repeat Fleeing Shoplifter
The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
On July 3 a Kohl’s loss prevention employee approached someone suspected of stealing shoes.
The Streetsboro woman ran out of the store with a pair of $75 shoes and hopped into her Pontiac G6, according to the Stow Police report.
Officers said the temporary license plate was torn on the car she drove away in around 5:30 p.m.
She was stopped by officers at Fishcreek Road.
After further investigation, police said they learned the woman had been stopped for shoplifting before at a Kohl’s in Warren, Ohio.
She has been told not to return to Kohl’s stores so police charged her with a fourth-degree misdemeanor of trespassing.
The 18-year-old was also charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor and not having license plates, a minor-misdemeanor.
