Police Chase Stow Man Into Akron at 100 Mph
The Stow man was arrested and charged with willfully fleeing and eluding police and driving under the influence.

A 34-year-old from Stow was heading north on I-77 around 2 a.m. Nov. 20 when police saw his white van fly by at about 100 mph.
Police first spotted the Stow man weaving in and out of traffic at around 80 mph in Green, according to the Canton Repository. As police tried to stop him, he fled northbound on I-77 toward Akron sending police on a two-county high speed chase. Police eventually pulled the van over at the Carroll Street exit in Akron.
Police said the man was suspected of drinking alcohol.
The man was charged with willfully fleeing and eluding police, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension and speeding, according to the Canton Repository.
