Police Find Marijuana in Mazda During Routine Traffic Stop

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

Around midnight Sept. 28, Stow Police pulled a 2007 Mazda over for only having one operational headlight — but with the help of the K9 officer, police found more than that.

One police officer pulled the car over at the 750 block of Steels Corners Road. The K9 patrol car also pulled up to the traffic stop and the dog, Nero, indicated there was something else in the car, according to police.

Officers searched the car and found a digital scale and 16.7 grams of marijuana in the glove box, according to the report.

The 23-year-old Streetsboro man who was pulled over was issued a warning for the headlight and he was also summed to the Stow Muncipal Court Oct. 5 for drug possession, a minor-misdemeanor, and having drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
