The Stow-Munroe Falls High School boys’ and girls’ lacrosse coaches and current players, in partnership with the Stow Parks and Recreation Department, will be conducting a lacrosse camp for youth in grades three through nine from June 5-7.
Basic stick skills and game concepts will be taught through fun drills and scrimmages. Each player is required to bring a stick, water bottle, mouth guard and a willingness to learn this “fast and furious” sport.
Registration for the camp – to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. June 5, 6 and 7 at the high school fields – is open now through June 1. A .pdf registration form accompanies this story.
The cost of the camp is $50, which includes a camper T-shirt. There will be a $10 late fee for all registrations turned in after June 3. Checks made payable to the City of Stow and registration forms should be turned in at the parks and rec office at 5070 Stow Road.
Campers will be divided into groups of those entering grades 3-6 and 7-9 as of fall 2012, with separate camps for boys and girls.
Some girls’ sticks and/or goggles are available for reservation on a first-come, first-served basis by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Questions can also be sent to that email address.
