Several Rezoning Requests on City Council Agenda Tonight

Property owners on Kent, Graham and Williamson are seeking changes.

 

Stow City Council will convene at 7 tonight at City Hall for its regular meeting. Here's a preview of some of the agenda items:

  • A request made by Christ Community Chapel to rezone a 1.17-acre parcel at 3904 Kent Road and a 14.78-acre parcel at 3878 Kent Road from I-1 (industrial) to R-3 (residential). The reclassification has been recommended by the Planning Commission. Two city residents spoke against the rezoning during a public hearing Monday; click this link to read their comments.
  • A request made by David and Michael Miholer to rezone property at 2091 Graham Road from R-3 (residential) to R-B (residential-business). The reclassification has been recommended by the Planning Commission. Two residents addressed concerns with the proposed change during a public hearing Monday.   • A request made by David Brandon to rezone properties at 3403 and 3493 Kent Road, 3496 Williamson and two small parcels west of 3403 Kent Road from C-6 to C-3 (both are commercial designations). A public hearing on the matter is set for 5:30 p.m. July 9. The Planning Commission recommends the reclassification; click this link to read about the commission's discussion.
  • An ordinance amending the city's zoning code that would allow cremation equipment to be utilized in funeral homes. A public hearing on the matter is planned for 5:45 p.m. July 9.
