Shop Locally in Stow on Small Business Saturday

Start your holiday shopping at locally-owned stores on Nov. 24 during Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday has arrived.

It's a day for everyone to support the local shops and restaurants that give communities their unique and familiar touch.

American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses garner exposure during the holiday season, when they might otherwise be overlooked.

Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally-owned stores to help boost the economy and their communities.

Here are some Stow businesses participating in the day: (Click here for an extensive list.)

You can “like” Small Business Saturday on Facebook by visiting www.facebook.com/shopsmall.

Everyone has locally-owned businesses in their community, and shopping on Small Business Saturday is the perfect way to give back to the businesses you know and love in your community.

I did some of my shopping online but the rest will be exclusively at local small businesses. I hope everyone else does their part as well. :) :)

I love this concept! I think it would be great if those small businesses would advertise their specials for that day on this site!
