Stow Man Gets 11 Years in Prison for Bank Robberies

The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery last week.

Ralphel A. Penn, 25, of Stow was sentenced by Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery charges last week. 

Penn pleaded guilty at Summit County Common Pleas Court to one count of aggravated robbery and robbery. 

According to authorities, Penn robbed a Charter One Bank in Northfield Village in August and a bank in Akron about a week later

In both instances, Penn handed a note to the teller threating to shoot if money wasn't handed over. No gun was seen, according to earlier reports.
