Stow Police on the Hunt for Alleged Gunman
Stow Police Chief Louis Dirker said it appears the shooting was drug-related.
Stow Police Chief Louis Dirker told the Stow Sentry Monday the department is "cautiously optimistic" that its investigation will yield arrests in connection with Saturday night's shooting.
Dirker said the shooting was likely drug-related given that a substanial amount of marijuana was found at the crime scene: 4034 Osage St.
Five shell casings where recovered from the scene, but Dirker wouldn't specify the type of gun that was used. The men who were shot -- Jason Hoy, 20, and Andrew Brown, 21 -- are from Stow, but it appears they don't live at the residence in question.
When Hoy and Brown were interviewed Saturday night, they told Stow detectives they were shot by a black man who had two black accomplices.
However, it's not immediately clear whether the information Hoy and Brown provided to police was accurate.
The pair suffered non-life threatening injuries in the shooting.
As of Monday night, no arrests were made and no charges were filed.
