Stow Roads Closed to Make Way for Fourth of July Fun Wednesday

Look for road closures beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Kent Road.

The city is hosting two big events on the Fourth of July — the Annual Firecracker Run and the parade — which means main roads will be closed on the holiday.

The Stow Firecracker Run begins at 7:30am from Holy Family Church and travels east on Kent Road to Target Plaza and then back to the church.

The Stow Fourth of July Parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the Stow-Kent Shopping Center and travels west on Kent Road to Holy Family Church.

Here's the Road Closures

Kent Road (SR 59) will be closed from Marsh Road to Englewood Drive at the following approximate times:

  • 7 to 8:30 a.m.
  • 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Darrow Road (SR 91) will be closed from Graham Road to Pinehurst Road in Munroe Falls at the following approximate times:

  • 7 to 8:30 a.m.
  • 9:30 a.m. to 1p.m.

The only through traffic permitted during the restricted periods will be on Darrow Road for those attending the pancake breakfast at First Christian Church.

Some businesses in the area will be open that day and employees that need to reach their workplace should plan to take a route that DOES NOT cross State Route 59 (parade route) during the stated times that roads are closed.
