A ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon marked the official grand opening of Starbucks in a former bank building at 4249 Kent Road.

Participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside store employees were city government officials and Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce members. Stow Mayor Sara had the honor of cutting the ribbon with a giant pair of scissors.

The Stow-Kent Plaza Starbucks, which opened Aug. 17, seats about 35 to 40 customers inside and about 25 outside. The former bank buidling's drive-through teller window has been transformed into a coffee-serving window.

The company-operated store, which has about 17 full- and part-time employees, is open from 6 a.m. top 10 p.m. daily.
