Students Hit the Bottle Before Final Exams
The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
There were two police reports filed on the last day of school about underage consumption.
Water Bottle Filled with Vodka
A 14-year-old student admitted to drinking half a water bottle amount of vodka on the bike trail near Stow-Munroe Falls High School with some friends June 1, according to police.
He went back to school to take his exams and then left the high school and went home, the report stated.
The case is being handled by Stow Youth Services. No arrest was made.
Teacher Smells Alcohol
An assistant principal at the high school said a teacher thought a male student smelled as if he had been drinking alcohol.
Police said they did a blood alcohol content test and the student blew a .076. The legal limit for adults in Ohio to drive is a .08.
Police said the student was drinking earlier with other students. The 16-year-old student was also found with a pack of Camel cigarettes.
This case is also being handled by Stow Youth Services.
Underage consumption is first-degree misdemeanor.

Fourteen, drinking vodka in public, and attempting to conceal it as water? Wow... As for the second case, the BAC test is irrelevant when the student is under the legal drinking age.
