Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Summer’s Officially Here!

How are you spending the first day of summer? Here's some suggestions.

Today is the official start of summer! How will you be spending it? Here are a few ideas for local ways to start the summer off right:

Cool off

There are so many spots in Stow to grab a cool tasty treat. (Speaking of, nominate them here ... Patch is looking for the best Stow business offering a cold treat.)

Take a dip at Leisure Time. Or, take your dog for a dip at Bow Wow Beach

Spend some time outside

There are plenty of ways to get active in Stow, whether you want to golf at Fox Den or ride a bike on the trails. Just make sure that you’re safe if you’re outside— it’s supposed to be in the 90s today. Check out these hot weather tips.

Read a good book

The Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library is always cool and filled with interesting things to read. Check out our 2012 Summer Reading Guide page for some suggestions for kids. James Patterson joined with Patch to come up with these summer reading lists.

Have some pride

The city's 2012 Pride Week Festival runs from June 22 to July 4. Click here for a list of all the fun events lined up.

Amanda! Fix that sub-head! Subject/Verb agreement, please: Here ARE some suggestions. As you can see, "suggestions" is plural, therefore you must use the plural verb "are."

You're welcome.
