The Candles are Coming! The Candles are Coming!
A Yankee Candle Company opened on Kent Road last week.
A new Yankee Candle Company store is lighting up the Stow Community Center shopping plaza after the doors officially opened Feb. 10.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony for the store with Mayor Sara Drew last Friday.
The space at 4332 Kent Rd. was previously occupied by a Borders and is in the same plaza as Target.
The new store has six employees and Assistant Manager Michelle Basista told the Stow Sentry, "We are excited to be in Stow."
Mike Weddle, the city's economic development director, said Yankee Candle is a "great addition to our economic base."
Overall, Yankee Candle operates 530 company-owned retail stores throughout the United States and Canada.
The store in Stow is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Holly Lobby is completely separate like you said....there is a Bath and Body Works with all kinds of candles also that does very well and is always crowded...Target is way too high.....walmart is the best place price wise...

I am a yankee candle addict-I admit it. I've tried buying cheaper candles, but it's just not the same. Also, any YC coupons you get in the mail are not honored by Hallmark or Bath&Body Works. They ARE expensive, but they last longer than any other candle and keep their scent. The Macintosh Apple is my all time fave, but I love Sparkling Snow and the peppermint one (can't think of the name). As soon as I save up enough to get myself a real treat, I WILL be there!!!
