What Restaurant is Missing in Stow?

There are plenty of dining options in the city, but what's one restaurant you wish would come to Stow?

Have you ever caught yourself saying, "I wish there was a ________ restaurant in Stow?"

Well, here's your chance to share your wishes.

There are several restaurants in Stow — just check out the Patch directory listing. But, there's always that taste for a certain chain restaurant, or type of food, that just isn't around the corner.

In the comments section, tell us what restaurant you wish was in town.

I get really bored with the restaurants in Stow--chains and burgers and pizzas! I really enjoy our TGI Fridays, though, and agree that Olive Garden or Cracker Barrel would be nice. Something where it's easier to get a semi-healthy dinner would be great too.

We really need a Firehouse Sub Shop up in this area. I have heard that one is coming to Strongsville. But that would be the closest.

Have you ever had DiBella's subs? Those are fantastic, the closest one I know of is in Independence.

I would agree with Cracker Barrel. It blows Bob Evans out of the water.

Firehouse Subs steam there meat, and there product is miles above a Dibella's or a Jimmy Johns.

I need to check out this Firehouse Subs you talk about. I'm a sucker for a good submarine. What about a steakhouse in Stow?

I wish there were more locally owned restaurants in Stow.

And by locally owned, I meant non-chain restaurants.

It's so sad that you don't remember Silver Pheasant, Amanda!! It started out very upscale, the chef was very progressive and the food was delicious. It was one of the few places in town where you could have lobster or scampi and steak for dinner. Maybe it was too high-priced for the economy, but it slipped away. It was beautiful inside and very dark and romantic. It appealed to an older demographic.

Good suggestion, not a whole lot of Greek food options around.

I loved Smokey Bones when I lived in Erie, PA. Really great mashed potatoes!

Anything but another chain restaurant. Something like Hudson's Tomato Grille would be nice. Stow needs to go upscale. A restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food is what we need.
