I would never, ever shop on Christmas Day. It just encourages companies to be open when they should be closed.

I agree, Debbie. I understand that emergencies come up, and thank the dear Lord for our safety forces that our on duty today. But, these businesses are open for profit,and their employees should be able to be home with their families.
