Look Who's Visiting the High School Today

Rep. Kristina Roegner invited Mary Taylor, Ohio's Lieutenant Governor, to speak to a government class at the high school Feb. 27, 2012.

Lt. Governor Mary Taylor, Ohio's second in command for the state's executive branch, is stopping in at the Stow-Munroe Falls High School this afternoon to talk to a government class.

Rep. Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) has been volunteering with Teacher Marty Tinkler’s government class by coming and speaking to the students once a week and asked Taylor to make the visit.

"We've been discussing the legislative branch ... now we're switching to the executive branch of government and I thought, 'What can I do to help bring that branch of government to life for the class?,'" Roegner said.

Let's See,
Rep. Roegner is the elected representative from the 37th District (Stow) and Lt. Gov. Taylor is the Lt. Gov. for all of Ohio. The question is why was Rep. Ryan, who is NOT elected by Stow voters, at SMFHS on Feb. 21? Why wasn't his visit framed as a question? Even leaving out the word "are" in this headline would have been a better journalistic choice. As presently written the headline to this article is vaguely negative with political overtones. Why?

Hi James,
The purpose of this post is to inform people why they are visiting. The headline was not meant to be taken as, "well, why the heck are THEY here?" It is written in a way to let people know they are visiting and to find out why by clicking on the post. I can see where you are coming from with your comments, but I promise it was not meant to be taken in a way that I was questioning the visit to the high school.
And, to answer your question about Rep. Tim Ryan ... I did not have information to post a preview of his visit, only photos after. Hope this clears that up, thanks for your comment!

Thanks Amanda,
Present headline is very much in the spirit of things.
