Popular Women’s Support, Education and Networking Organization
Comes to (Stow)
Believe, Inspire, Grow (B.I.G.), a women’s support, education and networking group, is scheduled to launch a local “pod” in the Stow area on Wednesday, September 19, at 6:30pm, at Stratford Place, 4301 Darrow Rd. This complimentary wine and cheese reception is sponsored by REA Careers and B.I.G.
More than 1,300 women are already participating in B.I.G. across the country. The organization is designed to empower women to business success. Thanks to Diana Miller and Candice Benson, women throughout Northeast Ohio will have the opportunity to join and participate in B.I.G. As the B.I.G. leaders, Miller and Benson will host monthly meetings with area women to discuss relevant business ideas, share insights and brainstorm ways to overcome their obstacles.
“I am excited to share this great opportunity with the women of Stow,” said Miller. “As an entrepreneur myself, I know firsthand the many struggles and challenges that face women who desire to make economic contributions, without sacrificing their important family commitments. B.I.G. provides the resources and infrastructure to allow us to overcome our business challenges and work toward success.”
This membership-based organization utilizes face-to-face community meetings, an interactive website and monthly teleconferences to provide women with a positive and educational support network to help move their business ideas forward. Many of these women have been out of the workforce for several years or they are looking to make a change in their current career.
Miller said that BIG is open to women from all walks of life - realtors, party planners, jewelry sellers, interior designers, lawyers, accountants, graphic designers, life/career coaches, chefs, photographers, women in transition, etc. Any woman who is interested in networking, exchanging business-related ideas or making a career change is welcome.
“It’s evident from these groups around the country that women helping women is a highly effective way to help transform ideas into reality,” Miller said. “ The magic that happens when smart women come together and empower each other is truly inspiring."
