With only two weeks to go until the Stow-Munroe Falls High School Prom and After Prom celebration, student & parent volunteers are madly working to create a fantastic celebration for our graduating seniors and their guests.
The prom is May 12th at the Kent State Ballroom and the After Prom party will commence right after from 11:30 pm to 4 am. For more FAQ's regarding After Prom click here to read our blog. You can also find us on Facebook.
Our theme this year is the Amazing Race to Cities Around the World. Senior parent, Christine Ries, is the artistic director of the decorating crew who is doing a bang-up job of creating her vision. She conducts summer art camps through Stow Parks and Recreation for all ages. We still have more work to do, so if you'd like to help (no artistic ability required) please click here for the dates we'll be working at the high school.
We started our fundraising efforts in the fall and, with the help of generous parents, organizations, and businesses, have gotten to 90% of our goal. We thank all the local organizations and businesses who have so generously responded to our request for help. Many of them help out each year and we couldn't do such a big event without their help. If you'd like to help us out with a donation of goods or services, please click here. We still need the use of a box truck that weekend, if anyone has one they could loan us. Please contact Amy Smith if you can accomodate us.
Although it is a lot of work, the fact that we can throw our seniors a great party where they can hang out with their friends, play games, watch movies and have the chance to win some great prizes, makes it all worth it. The parents receive many thanks from the kids when they leave to go home and rest for a few hours before they head off to Cedar Point and we go home to collapse in our beds!
