The GriefCare Place is offering Kids’ Time for children ages 6 - 15 years old in a safe comfortable atmosphere for those who are grieving the death of someone they love and are hurting from their loss. The sessions will run for eight consecutive weeks beginning Tuesday, February 19. Here children find peer grief support, share their feelings, share their tears and laughter, share the celebration of life, and form new friendships, realizing they are not alone in their grief. Sessions will give each child creative activities helping promote discussion and understanding of their feelings, and giving them tools to have conversations with their parents and caregivers. Kids’ Time is led by trained professionals, Sue Maxymiv, Audrey Kraynak and Arlene Hurst.

The GriefCare Place offers a safe and supportive place for those dealing with the death of a loved one, providing support, counseling, education and the chance to heal. Services are available for people of all ages, and is a non-denominational, non-faith-based organization providing services to people of all spiritual paths. Individual counseling is available, as is group counseling for people who have experienced similar types of loss. Volunteers work with clients to help them through the grieving and healing process.
