DECA students hold annual "Hoops 4 a Cause"

The Stow-Munroe Falls High School DECA (An Association of Marketing Students) club played the staff in the main gym on Tuesday, November 26.  The annual “Hoops 4 a Cause” basketball game is held every year to help raise money to build a “Stow School” in Mali, Africa. The staff beat the students with a score of 49-38.

“We started this international cause because as DECA club members we also are enrolled in the International Business & Marketing Institute Career Program and we wanted to pick an international cause that has roots back to Stow-Munroe Falls High School,” said McKenzie Springford, President of DECA.

African Sky is a social profit organization (501c3) working to lessen the effects of extreme poverty in Mali.  The organization was started by Dr. Scott Lacy, a Stow graduate. To learn about this organization and how you can become involved visit Africansky.org.
