Why Go: Earth Fare is hosting this all-American community cook-out that features live music, prizes and great food. 

Price: A burger and a hot dog are each $1. All military, police and fire personnel eat free.

Why Go: Shop local vendors for produce, crafts and more.

Price: Free entry.

4. SUNDAY SAMPLER

Where/When: Akron Art Museum, 1 S. High, Akron; Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy free gallery admission to the collection and special exhibits.

Price: Free.

Where/When:, 3179 Kent Rd. Stow; Monday at 6 a.m.

Why Go: A 3K fun run or a 4-mile race sponsored by the Stow Parks & Recreation Department.

Price: $15 pre-registration, or $20 the day of the 4-Mile race; $12 pre-registration, or $15 the day of the 3K fun run.
