Tri-C High School Rock Off

Stow-Munroe Falls High School's very own band, Chil, has been selected to compete in the 15th Annual Tri-C High School Rock Off presented by 96.5 KISS FM at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland. Chil performs Saturday, January 29, 2011. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Tickets ($10) are on sale now and are available by contacting any band member or calling the numbers listed below.

Chil was formed in May 2007 by brothers Nick and Ben Batton. Nick, guitarist and lead vocalist, is a sophomore at the High School. Ben, drums, is an 8th grader at Kimpton Middle School. Eric Beaujon, lead guitarist and also a sophomore at Stow, joined Chil in the fall of 2007. The band is rounded out by bass guitarist, Max Duffy, a freshman at Hoban High School.

The winning band will receive 24 hours of recording time courtesy of Ante Up Audio and a $200 donation to their high school band fund or music department. Second place winners will receive 12 hours of recording time and $100 for the school's music department.
