Get Out! Art, Jazz and Comedy!

Not sure what to do this weekend? Here are some ideas.

It’s Thursday, and you have no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

1. TRI-C JAZZFEST: KICK OFF DAY

Where/When: Tower City Center, 230 W. Huron Rd., Cleveland; today at 5 p.m.

Why Go: It's the 32nd annual Jazzfest that begins today and goes through May 8. This Mardi Gras Parade is a free event. At 7 p.m., head over to the House of Blues to hear Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. And check out this schedule of performances for the rest of your weekend.

Price: $25 for Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

Where/When:l, 3227 Graham Rd., Stow; Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Cheer on the Lady Bulldogs as the host Cardinal Mooney.

Price: Free.

Where/When: , 1767 State Rd., Cuyahoga Falls; Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and again at 10 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy the comedy of Faye Woodroof, "the grandmother from hell."

Price: Friday is $10 and Saturday is $14. Add $2 for preferred seating.

4. ART @ M.D. GARAGE

Where/When: M.D. Garage, 1556 West Boston Mills Rd., Peninsula; Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: It's a series of free art exhibitions presented by the Crooked River Gang, a volunteer group of local artists. This weekend check out The American Landscape. Most of the artwork is available for purchase.

Price: Free.

5. THE MOM AND POP SHOPPE

Where/When: Musica, 51 E. Market St., Akron; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: It's back in time for Mother's and Father's Day, and with more vendors than ever. Crafty Mart presents this market of handmade arts and crafts from artisians and crafters. Urban Eats will provide the food and Mocha Maiden will provide hot and cold drinks.

Price: Entrance and parking in the Main Library Parking Deck is free.
