Get Out! Artwork, Bees, Lacrosse and a Ribbon Cutting

Where/When: 4911 Commerce Pkwy., Warrensville Heights; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.

Why Go: This sale benefits The Gathering Place and its free programs and services for individuals and families touched by cancer. Browse through  fine furniture, costume jewelry, China, Swarovski crystal collection, antiques and more. Items priced at $50 and above are 20 percent off.

Where/When: , 2613 Sackett Ave, Cuyahoga Falls; Friday from noon to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Join the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Don Robart at the ribbon cutting ceremony for hte new mausoleum at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Refreshments will be provided.

Price: Free.

Where/When: Brewster's Pub, 96 S Main St, Munroe Falls; Friday from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Why Go: Tips made during the evening will be donated to the Stow-Munroe Falls High School Boys Lacrosse Team. Buy raffle tickets for a chance to win either a lottery, gift card basket or an entertainment, romance basket.

Price: Raffle tickets are $1 each, or $5 for six.

4. ART @ M.D. GARAGE

Where/When: M.D. Garage, 1556 West Boston Mills Rd., Peninsula; Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: It's a series of art exhibitions presented by the Crooked River Gang, a volunteer group of local artists. This weekend check out The American Landscape. Most of the artwork is available for purchase.

Price: Free.

5. BEES FOR KIDS

Where/When: Nature Realm Visitor Center, 1828 Smith Rd., Akron; Saturday at noon.

Why Go: Naturalist Sarah Putnam and beekeeper John Irvine will explain to kids ages 6 to 12 why bees are really not so bad. The kids will get a chance to take apart a beehive and watch through the window. A short hike and craft will follow.

Price: Free.
