Get Out! Stow Players Performance, Murder Mystery Show

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Where/When: The Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave., Cuyahoga Falls; Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Why Go: It's Ballroom Dance Night and Anita Converse of The Dancer In You will lead the evening that starts with a dance lesson from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Refreshments are provided. Couples and singles are welcome. Pay at the door.

2. THE STOW PLAYERS PRESENT WORKING

Where/When: The Heritage Barn, 5328 Young Rd., Stow; Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: It's the last weekend to catch this musical based on the book by Studs Terkel.

Pricing: $14 adults; $12 seniors and students.

Where/When: Portage County Historical Society, 6549 N Chestnut St., Ravenna;  Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: The Portage County Historical Society will display select items that highlight the history of black Americans in the area.

Pricing: $2 donation.

4. BLACK & WHITE AND DEAD ALL OVER MURDER MYSTERY THEATRE

Where/When: Acker-Moore Memorial Post, 3733 Fishcreek Rd., Stow; Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Why Go: Come to the Stow-Munroe Falls Foundation's annual fundraiser. There's good food, a cash bar and an auction. And, it's your chance to solve a mystery.

Pricing: $50.

5. SHOT! (REQUIEM FOR A BULLET)

Where/When: Stage Door at EJ Thomas Hall, The University of Akron, 198 Hill St., Akron; Friday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: This is a fact-based drama inspired by interviews with residents of North Philadelphia. It's presented by University Theatre in honor of Black History Month, and it is recommended for adult audiences.

Pricing: $10
