Community Job Club, Inc. Graduates First “5 Steps to Rapid Employment” Class

Program helps job seekers to secure employment in less than half the time it takes most to land their next position.

The Community Job Club, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has graduated its first class in the 5 Steps to Rapid Employment program. Ten students successfully completed the four-week session that has successfully led others across the country to find employment 72% faster than the average.

During three classroom sessions, students watched a series of videos on each of the “5 Steps” and discussed a variety of topics pertaining to their job campaign.  In between classes, students completed on-line, self-paced courses and related homework that supported what they learned in the classroom. This special combination of class work and on-line learning guided participants on how to find hidden jobs, stand out from the competition, succeed in the interview, and land the job they want. By the end of the program, each student had built a value-based resume, reference portfolio and case study portfolio, all essential self-marketing tools designed to sell them to employers in a revolutionary way.

Diana Miller, executive director of the Community Job Club, Inc., feels strongly about the efficacy of and need for this type of start-to-finish "job campaign" session. As an organization assisting job seekers, we needed a way to address as many of the key issues as possible that are faced by the unemployed and underemployed. This program is in complete alignment with the Community Job Club’s mission to get people back to work, she said. Plus, the Department of Labor has recognized it as a promising practice.

The next session of classes starts Saturday, May 19, 2012. The Community Job Club, Inc. plans to offer additional sessions throughout the year. Classes will be held at Stratford Place in Stow, where InterChez Porperties, LLC has provided an in-kind donation of office space for the organization.
